Sodexo is celebrating its first annual Compliance Week from January 25 - 29, 2010. The purpose of Compliance Week is to encourage and educate Sodexo employees about the importance of maintaining the highest standards of ethical behavior in all dealings in the company, and with our clients, our customers, others with whom we conduct business, and in the communities we serve. Highlighting ethics and compliance throughout an entire week will give our managers the opportunity to focus on a different topic with their team members each day.
Today's Topic of the Day: Avoiding Conflicts in Interest with Outside Businesses
Employees must avoid all situations or interests that conflict with their responsibilities to the company.
Avoid actual and potential conflicts of interest (situations where you make or influence a decision that may result in personal gain).
Avoid the improper giving and receiving of gifts.
Avoid employment (including self employment) and business activities that conflict with Sodexo.
Action Items:
From the Employee Handbook, review Ethical Conduct on page 48, Customer Relationships on page 54, and Solicitation/ Distribution Rules on page 55.
Reinforce the Promise of Respect and Fair Treatment and Non-Retaliation Policies (Employee Handbook, page 23).
Last day to access the Social Networking vignette.
Thank you for participating in Compliance Week.
